How many times did you forget to send an important Text Message or an Email coz you were too busy with just another chaotic day in office? How many times there was an urgent need to make a crucial phone call and well, thanks to your overcomplicated and busy life, you simply forgot that?

The heart murmurs “Hey I am not wired to remember every single thing” but let’s admit it, knowingly or unknowingly you have disappointed a loved one or messed up an important business event. Yeah, we do set calendar events and reminders, but does that really ensure that task will be completed? Actually no…

How great it would be to automate the schedules for important business meetings, wishing anniversaries/birthdays and even the Facebook/Twitter status updates. Nothing complicated, just take care of those damn recurring events so that we can actually focus on more important things in life?

Well, Future Scheduler lets you do just that!

Automate the recurring events and tasks right on your mobile phone. Schedule a Phone Call, Text Message, Email or Social Media update for a future date/time and simply get rid of organizers and diaries.

Create alerts with an easy and intuitive interface, set recurrence and that’s pretty much it. When the time comes, Future Scheduler will automatically send the email/text message for you* or connect a call or post a status update on Twitter/Facebook.

Moreover, all activities are synced with your calendar to avoid redundant entries. Even if your phone is not with you its still there in your alternative calendar. Think of it as your very own “private secretary” to schedule future phone calls, text message, emails and social media updates in a simple yet efficient manner.

FAQ

Okay, so what is Future Scheduler?
As you can understand from the name itself, it’s a handy little utility which lets you automate various tasks and activities like sending an email, text messages, connect a call or may be social media updates. The idea is to simplify your life. Few simple steps and you will never hear “how could you forget my birthday”. Or never miss out a business opportunity and an important appointment. If you like socializing, Future Scheduler lets you do that as well.

And why should I spend money on it when I can do this with calendar app itself?
Not really… You can set up reminders with calendar and organizers but Future Scheduler goes one step further and actually automates the task. Calendar won’t send an email on your behalf, whereas Future Scheduler will. See?

Hmm, interesting... Where can I get it?
Future Scheduler works on Apple iOS, Google Android and RIM Blackberry and is available in respective market places. Please follow the links in home section to get it now.

Sounds complicated... I want to install it to my mom’s phone and she is not very technical.
When we say, we want to simplify your life. We really mean it. Its awesomely simple to schedule an activity and you won’t believe how fast and easy it is. Just click on an activity (call, message, email or social media), type in your message or select from template, choose “Date & Time” and that’s it. We are done. Optionally you can set up recurring events by setting up frequency.

How do I see the activities I have scheduled?
All scheduled activities are available under “Scheduled” Tab. You can also edit or delete an event from there.

Can I include attachments when I schedule a future email?
NO, right now we don’t support using attachments but we are constantly updating the app and adding more features so you will see this shortly.

Ain’t it a little inconvenient that it will automatically connect a call or send message. What if I want to confirm it first?
It depends on the uses. For text message and emails, that is actually desired but in any case, when creating an activity you can choose if you want to trigger it automatically or want the app to ask you first.

On my iPhone, I don’t see an option to auto send without confirmation. Why is that?
Yeah, but Big Apple is to blame for that. Unfortunately they do not allow third party apps to automatically send a message or email unless user confirms it. That is part of their security set up and we have to follow that. On Blackberry and Android, that’s not the case though.

Is there any character limit for text or email sending?
Why should there be a limit when we don’t have that in default apps. So Nope… No limit as such.

Can I send message to a group or more than one recipient at a time?
Yep. We want to make your life easy… not complicated

Well worth the money – Chris

What more can I say, “does exactly what it says on the tin”. It could do with the ability to choose multiple contacts in one go but I’m assured that this will be coming soon. Well worth the money.

Thanks Chris for the rocking review
Not automatic – Chris Hall

This app says it will send a text, email or a post to Facebook. This app only reminds you to send it so there for not helpful.

Well, we need to blame Big Apple for this. The iOS SDK, does not let the third party apps send a message or email without user intervention. We would love to add this feature in the app but unfortunately, unless Apple decides to enable this for third part apps, we are helpless.

We have clearly mentioned this in our app description (in App Store) as well as this website but if you still decide to ignore it and buy the app and then write a review with 1 star… what can we say!

For your ignorance you are actually misleading several other users by writing an incorrect review.

Anyway, we are planning to add some more features to the app which will handle this problem with the help of an external component so stay tuned.

Doesn’t Work Well – Richard 05/24/2012

Scheduled email seems to work but SMS not sending. Interface font too small. Contact search not limited to mobile numbers when trying to send SMS.

We try our level best to check the app as thoroughly as possible before the launch and as you can imagine, if the app is not doing the basic thing it is designed to do, we are not stupid enough to make it live. Actually, Android is a tricky platform to develop. The open architecture and open market is a good thing but sometimes that brings us certain problems as well. There are n numbers of devices and OS versions and custom ROMs out there and as obvious, we cannot test it on every single variant. Moreover, due to lack of any approval process, sometimes sub-standard apps make their way through the store. Some of these apps take too much memory; sometimes they just block the services and won’t let other apps access those services and so on. We can’t be sure but something similar must have happened here. We are still trying to investigate but rest assured, it is not a bug and app does work as designed.

As for the interface and font size, that is a subjective thing. One size doesn’t fit all and what is good for one person might not be the case for others. We have chosen the size which is optimal but opinion can differ.

We know of several desk phones which can receive SMS and we are sure, you must be aware of those too. That is why the contacts are not filtered for mobile only. We don’t see that a bug and a reason for negative rating. But well, what can we say…
